From Kate Middleton’s awe-inspiring wedding gown to Virgil Abloh’s collection of collaborations, we look back at the most inspiring and influential fashion moments of the decade.

It was a decade of hype and drops, as the fashion industry fully adopted the streetwear model. Virgil Abloh demonstrated the power of cross-industry collaborations in the latter half of the decade, with Off-White x Ikea, Off-White x Evian, and Off-White x Cha Cha Matcha (to name a few). In an era ruled by social media, limited-edition partnerships count more than collections, because more reach to everyone involved is a beautiful thing.

Another big story of the 2010s? Athleisure. Comfort-first designs led the pack, as the popularity of the stiletto dwindled. Blurring the lines between spin-class attire and normal street clothes, joggers, hoodies, and sneakers got a fashionable makeover. In the past decade, athleisure has become so popular that even Merriam-Webster felt the need to define the trend, calling it “casual clothing designed to be worn both for exercising and for general use.”

Read on for the top 10 fashion moments of the decade, as told by the Trendalytics team.
