From tie dye loungewear to plush slippers, these are the growing and declining trends that influenced womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, and beauty during the month of March.

Women

Demand for loungewear (+132% to LY), mainly dreamy tie dye sets, has hit an all-time high, as comfort purchases take precedent. Showing accelerated growth, tie dye sweatpants (+2,400% to LY), tie dye joggers (+1,954% to LY), and tie dye sweatshirts (+473% to LY) mean never having to choose between comfort and style again.

Men

It’s cool to be comfortable. Interest in men's loungewear (+38% to LY) has reached a 5 year high, with medium volume terms like men's pajama top (+87% to LY) and men's lounge shorts (+48% to LY) showing accelerated growth. On average, there are 4K weekly searches for men's loungewear, and social buzz has grown at a rate of +500% since LY.

Beauty

With hair and nail salons closed for the foreseeable future, many have no choice but to figure out how to cut their bangs, remove overgrown gel polish, or soothe stressed skin. Terms like at-home gel manicure (+143% to LY), at-home hair color (+50% to LY), and at-home facial (+6% to LY) are showing strong momentum and positive YoY growth. Nail artists, hairstylists, and estheticians have taken to social media to share tips and tricks on how to achieve optimal at-home results.

Kids

Many parents are now faced with the task of working from home with kids (+501% to LY) and are filling the role of caretaker and teacher. Educational games (+26% to LY) and indoor games (+18% to LY) for kids emerge as high volume trends growing at an accelerated rate. Goop, Play Osmo, Bug + Bean, and PureWow are the top social profiles mentioning educational games.
