Women
A stark departure from summer’s lightweight fabrics, fall is ushering in an array of heavily textured accessories. Puffer bags (+65 to LY) are a safe bet, while knotted totes (+50 to LY) and quilted bags (+23 to LY) are exhibiting emerging behavior. Corduroy bucket hats are garnering attention with average weekly searches +45% to LY and products in the market +175% in the last 30 days.
Men
As summer comes to an end, men are turning to colorful apparel to maintain good spirits in the colder months ahead. Men’s orange sweaters (+46% to LY) are exhibiting emerging behavior as men draw inspiration from the viral orange WNBA hoodie (+30% to LY). Swapping summer staples for winter ones, searches for men’s color block hoodie (+18% to LY) are on the rise, while searches for men’s color block shirt (-64% to LY) are declining.
Beauty
Searches for anxiety have hit a 15 year high and consumers are looking for ways to soothe the mind. An emerging trend, hair aromatherapy (-15% to LY) brings the healing power of scent into consumers’ everyday routines. Fragrances and oils with stress-relieving medicinal benefits, like neroli (+16% to LY) and patchouli (+15% to LY), are on the rise. Searches for healing crystals are +13% to LY and products in the market are +43% in the last 30 days.
Kids
Children’s love of Hatchimals is swaying the prints and patterns they’re adding to their wardrobe this season. Girls flamingo dress(+62% to LY) is starting to grow, and girls butterfly shirt (+68% to LY) is a safe bet as it continues to accelerate in growth. At the same time, dalmatian print skirts (+154% to LY), leopard leggings (+33% to LY), and animal print leggings (-1% to LY) are peaking.
